To mark the theatrical release of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, nine Wizarding World Wands were installed on Peter's Hill beneath St. Paul's Cathedral for a month to raise money for JK Rowling's charity Lumos. A magical row of interactive street lights based on the nine hero wands from the Harry Potter franchise., the wands came to life each night and hosted weekly events from wand training to performances by the Grenadier Guards. I was commissioned to create the initial concept designs (below) which featured in most national newspapers and were used to brief the prop makers on the breathtaking installation.
